Hi Stinger; Welcome to Big Thumper world! My bike doesn't leak, but I do wish I had a tripmeter. My solution to the problem is whem refilling, to add 120 miles to the present reading and write it on the gas cap with a heavy black marker. All I have to do is glance at it (same as a tripmeter) and I know when to refill. As for the seating, I puchased a cushion from Airvent for around $35. I can go a hundred miles or so before I get numbutt but I still think they (Suzuki) should improve the seating and suspension. From the comments on this forum and from my own experience it seems the best way to keep it from leaking oil is to do the periodic torque maintenance on the head bolts and never overfill the oil. Mine is a '99 with 11,000 miles, no major problems, completely stock in every way, starts easy, runs good and is reliable. All the bikes I see today follow the same pattern of bolting a pan right down on the frame, covering it with something and then calling it a "seat". Older models of years ago had seats on a hinge with springs underneath, lots of give for the solid frames of those days, but why not do that kind of seat with modern suspension? Just a thought and my favorite complaint. Take care, Frank M
